Description
NOTE: This task may not be available in your jurisdiction.
Use this task to identify accounts requiring auditing, create new audits, process the audit, update the audit with the results of the actual audit, generate correspondence, and create reports about audits.
Create and manage audits for the following account types:

Set Up Auditors
NOTE: Certain jurisdictions that use the Audit functionality may require Auditor setup before any of the Audit tasks are available on the menu. In this situation, if you are not set up as an auditor, you will not be able to see the Audit common links on various screen or the Audit screens. Set up Auditors via Business Revenue > Setup.
Configuration > Systypes

Set up the systype categories called Audit Assessment Reason, Audit Reason, and Audit Status
Configuration > Localization > Functional Calendars

Set up the functional calendar called Business License Audit to maintain audit information.
Configuration > User Defined Fields

Set up User-Defined Fields (UDF) for any additional required data, as applicable to your jurisdiction, for selection and maintenance on the Maintain Audits screen via the Configuration > User-Defined fields task.

When the Audit Project Time Summary panel Estimated Total Project Hours field (if applicable to your jurisdiction) has entries up to at least 80% of the time defined for the Personal Property Appraisal application integer setting Audit Time Exceeds 80% Flag, an 80% of Project Time Used message displays in the upper right of the screen.

When the current date is less than or equal to 10 business days from the date in the Estimated Auditor Completion Date field (if applicable to your jurisdiction), the flag 10 Days or Less in Completion Period displays in the upper right of the screen. The information displayed for the flag iincludes the flag’s meaning, all currently identified information for similar flags and Estimated Auditor Completion Date.
Configuration > Security and User Maintenance > Roles

Security is available for two fields: Estimated Preparer Completion Date and Estimated Total Project Hours on the Maintain Audits screen. To set security for these:

Go to Configuration > Security and User Maintenance > Roles > Maintain a Role.

Click Edit on the particular role to advance to the Edit Role Details screen.

In the Granted Menu items panel click the Expand (+) button preceding Personal Property Appraisal to drill to Audits > Audit Administration > Maintain Audits.
NOTE: If Personal Property Appraisal is not in the Granted Menu Items panel, select it from the Available Menu Items panel and click Add Selected to move it to Granted Menu Items. -
Select the following and set the rights as applicable for the role

Click Save and Close.
