Description

Maintain aggregate value data, such as state aid tax from adjoining county governments, for use in various calculation processes, including secondary tax calculation.

SETUP: See Levy Management, Levy Management Setup, Aggregate Overrides, and Overrides for any applicable prerequisites, dependencies and setup information for this task.

Steps
  1. Accept the Effective year date or set it.

  2. Select the Change effective yearand clickSet Year.

  3. Select the Calculation level of the value overrides, and select additional attributes if you have selected one of the following calculation levels (there are no additional attributes at the County calculation level).

    You also have the option of selecting all for any of these attributes.

    • TAG - Select a tax authority group

    • TIF - Select a TIF district

    • TA - Select a tax authority

    • TAG-TA - Select a TAG and tax authority

  4. Select a Value type (or all) to override values.

    NOTE:  No Value types initially display if none have ever been defined on this screen. If so, proceed to Step 7 to add Value Type overrides.

  5. Click Add in the Overrides grid to add new override values, provided by the source county for each set of attributes.

    OR

    Click Edit next to an existing override to change it.

  • Select the entity corresponding to the calculation level selected above (TAG, TIF, authority, TAG-TA, county).

  • Select the Value type and Attribute.

  • Enter the new Value.

  • Click Apply to save the value entry.

  • Click Cancel to discard the changes to the row.

  • Repeat these steps for any additional override values.

  1. Click Save to save the value overrides for the current calculation level and tax year.

    • Click Close to end the task.

Tips Tips

Each value type can be assigned an attribute type in Value Types setup.

Select the checkbox of one or more overrides and click Remove to delete them from the list.
