New Business/Location Report

Description

The report lists the business name, account number, primary type, LIN (location identification number), site address, and date opened for new businesses and locations.

You can run this report for multiple organization types, classes, areas, or business types. For example you can report on all gasoline stations that have opened in the business district in the past month.

  • Closing a location on the Maintain Business Location screen closes the business license account(s) and trust tax account(s) at that given location

Steps
  1. You must select one or more of the Organization Type(s), such as corporation or partnership.

  2. You must also select aClass(es), such retail or service.

  3. Select an Area(s) where the business is located.

  4. Select the Zoning Code.

  5. Define the Date inOperationFrom and a Date In Operation to or select the date range from the date picker .

  6. Define the Discovery Date From and a Discovery Date Todates.

  7. Define theBusiness Account Transaction From and Business Account Transaction Todates.

  8. Define theLocation Transaction From date and Location Transaction Todates.

  9. Select the Primary Business Type(s), such as food and beverage stores.

  10. Select the Address type, either Situs Address (default) or Mailing Address and enter the Postal Code to generate a report of accounts by postal code. Various formats and mixes are accepted for the postal code, for example:

  • 32828

  • 32828, 32829, and 32830

  • 32828-1024

  • 32828-1024, 32828-1025, and 32828-1026

  • 32828-1024, 32828-1025, and 32828-1026

  • 32828, 32829, between 32830 and 32845,32850

  • 32828-1024, between 32828-1025 and 32828-1045, and 32828-1026

  1. Enter a Location Number to include only those businesses that match the location number.  Your jurisdiction may not use location numbers.

  2. Select whether to include the ability to export file to Excel.

  3. Check the Hide Banner checkbox to hide the parameter banner information from the report cover page.

  4. Click View Report to generate the report and display it on the screen, or click Submit to Batch to submit the report to batch process, which opens the Monitor Batch Processes screen.
