External Rates

Description

NOTE: External Rates Configuration is a prerequisite to this task.

The External Rates task allows you to add, view, and maintain various types of mortgage rates (for example, mortgage data elements) to be used in the analysis. process.

Steps

  1. On the External Rates Maintenance screen, make a selection from the Selected Rate Type drop-down list.

    NOTE: Available rate types include those configured in the External Rates Configuration task.

  2. Click the chevron next to an item in the grid to show its rate details.

  3. Click Add New to specify rates for a rate source. A new line with today's date is added at the top of the Maintain Rates panel.

  4. Click the Pencil icon for an individual  item in the Maintain Rates panel, or select the checkbox for two or more rates and click the Pencil icon in the header. All selected items are active for editing.

    Your configured rate sources are displayed.

    • Enter of select the effective date.

    • Enter the Rate for each Rate Source.

    • Enter the Points for each Rate Source.

    • Click the green checkmark to confirm your changes.
    • Optionally, click the Excel icon to export the list to a Microsoft Excel worksheet.
  5. Click Apply in the Command Item bar. The minimum, maximum and average rates are calculated from your rate entries and displayed in the grid, along with the effective date.

    • Click Refresh to clear all selections and refresh the page.

    • Click Cancel to discard changes since the last Save and retain the current view.

    • Click Close to end the task.
