Model Control

Navigate: Closed Valuation > Valuation Management > Model Control

Description

Use this task to assign existing models to specific valuation methods, and create new model-valuation relationships.

NOTE: Only users with proper permissions can modify information on this screen.

Steps

  1. On the Model Control screen, enter or select an effective date at the top of the screen.

  2. In the Valuation Model panel's title bar, click the Pencil icon for an item in the grid.

    1. Or, click Add New. A new line is active for editing at the bottom of the grid.
    2. To filter the grid, make a selection from the Model Status drop-down list.
    3. To sort the grid, click a column header.
  3. Enter or select the Model Code (no spaces allowed), Description, Value Method, and Model Status.
    1. Click the check mark to save your changes, or click the X to discard your changes.

    NOTE: See Assigning Models and Unassigning Models later in this topic.

  4. In the Valuation Engine Control panel at the bottom of the screen, click Add New in the title bar. Or, click the Pencil icon to edit an item in the grid.

  5. Enter or select the necessary information.

    • Order – Select the order in which the valuations display.

    • Engine – Select the Valuation Engine.

    • Object – Select the object to which the selected Engine will be applied.

    • Category – Optional

    • Type – Optional

    • Calc Type – Select Market or Use.

    • Rate Set – Select the Rate Set to use.

  6. Click the check mark to save your changes. Or, click the X to discard your changes.

  7. Click Save at the top of the screen.

    • Click Refresh to clear all selections and refresh the page.

    • Click Close to end the task.

Cloning

  1. On the Model Control screen, enter or select an effective date at the top of the screen.

  2. Click the Clone icon for an item in the list.

  3. Click OK in the pop-up.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and edit the fields as needed.

  5. Click the green check mark to save your changes. Or, click the red X to discard your changes.

  6. Click Save at the top of the screen.

Notes

To view notes, click to select a model in the grid. Notes are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

To add a note:

  1. Click to select a model in the Valuation Model panel.

  2. Click the Notes tab and click the Add Note icon on the far right.

  3. Make a selection from the Visibility drop-down list.

  4. Click to select a keyword for the note and click the right arrow. Repeat as needed.

  5. In the field to the right, provide additional information, if necessary.

  6. Click Save at the top of the screen.

To delete a note:

  1. Click to select it in the far left panel and click Delete Note.

  2. Click Save at the top of the screen.

Assigning Models

  1. On the Model Control screen, enter or select an effective date at the top of the screen.

  2. In the Valuation Model panel, select the checkbox for one or more items in the grid (or select the checkbox in the header row to select all) and click Assign Models.

  3. On the Advanced Search screen, enter your search criteria and click Search.

  4. In the Search Results panel, select the checkbox of the neighborhood you want to assign to the model and click Next.

  5. You automatically return to the Model Control screen.

  6. Click Save at the top of the screen.

Unassigning Models

  1. On the Model Control screen, enter or select an effective date at the top of the screen.

  2. In the Valuation Model panel, select the checkbox for one or more items in the grid (or select the checkbox in the header row to select all) and click Unassign Models.

  3. On the Advanced Search screen, enter your search criteria and click Search.

  4. In the Search Results panel, select the checkbox of the neighborhood you want to unassign from the model and click Next.

  5. You automatically return to the Model Control screen.

  6. Click Save at the top of the screen.
