Description

Maintain the settings used for Tax Deeds.

The Effective Pay Date of the TDA Import can be specified with the Tax Sale TDA Import - Specify Date for Effective Payment Date application setting. Options are either:

  • Received Date - First date in the file (default)

  • Settled Date - Second date in the file  

After the Tax Deep Application processing, the Payment Detail panel in the Info Center Transaction History screen shows the Effective Pay Date specified by the application setting.

Set this application setting as follows:

  1. Go to Configuration > Application Settings > Maintain Application Settings.

  2. Select the filter by module of Tax Sale and the setting type of effective date.

  3. Click Edit on the TDA Import - Specify Date for Effective Payment Date application setting and set as applicable.

Steps
  1. Click Edit on a Tax Deed Fee. Additional options display for the Fee.

    • Select the fee Name. Fees only display here if they are Delinquent Fees associated with the Tax Sale module. Set up Delinquent Fee in Delinquent > Fee Maintenance. Then, associate the fee to the Tax Sale module via Tax Sale > Tax Sale Settings in the Tax Sale Fees panel .

    • Select the Application Process. This is the process when the fee is applied.

    • Select the Payable Option. Choose one of the following: Only if a tax balance remains, Regardless of tax balance due, or Paid by buyer then add to redemption due.

    • Select the Processed By option. You can choose Tax deed processing by clerk or Tax deed processing by tax collector.

    • Enter the DR Form Line Number for the Fee.

    • Click Update to save the Fee or Cancel to discard it.

  1. Select the additional settings

    • Eligibility Age Date Type - Choose either Delinquent Date or Tax Sale Date of Certificate.

    • Tax Deed Type - Choose either Super Certificate TDA or Endorsement.

    • Eligibility Age in Years - This is an integer.

    • Default Fee Bank Amount - This setting indicates the amount of additional money to be charged at the time of the tax deed application. This money goes into a surplus, which is then applied towards future fees later during the Tax Deed Application process (generally are fees that occur after the initial payment, such as clerk fees).

  2. Click Save to save your changes.
