Undo Extend Tax Roll/Tax Bill Data

Description
Use this task to undo a tax roll processing instance only if the tax bills have not yet been posted. The process looks at the instance it is rolling back and pulls all PINS for the selected tax year, category, and instance. The data for the PINs is set back to its original state prior to the tax roll instance occurring.
Steps

On the Undo Extend Tax Roll/Tax Bill Data screen, make a selection from the Tax Year drop-down list.

Select the Category and associated Instance. If the instance is locked, that is displayed in the Locked field. When you perform the undo process, the instance also locks.
- Click Do not include PIN Listing, if applicable.
Creating an Undo Iteration

Click New in the Command Item bar.
In the New Undo Extend Tax Roll/Tax Bill Data Instance pop-up, enter a description for the instance calculation.

Select the process in the Unposted Extend Tax Roll/Tax Bill Data Instances panel.

Click OK to close the pop-up. The instance is then available for selection in the Instance drop-down list.
Generating Undo Calculations

Click Calculate in the Command Item bar.

Click the Calculation tab to view the calculation process. The Steps tab displays by default.

Calculations not yet processed show a Status of Pending in the Steps subtab. When complete, each row shows a Status of Completed.

Processing can take awhile, depending on the number of PINs in the tax roll instance. Click Refresh at any time to update the processing Status.

When all processing is complete:

The Extend Tax Roll/Tax Bill Data tab shows feedback about the final results of the undo.

The instance is removed from the available list of instances.
NOTES:
Viewing History, Log and Files
When processing is complete:

Click the History sub-tab to view a history of calculation processing.

Select the iteration if multiple iterations were created and processed.

Click the Log sub-tab to see a processing log.

Select the iteration if multiple iterations were created and processed.

Optionally, filter by any keyword to select the log for only the iteration instance you want

Optionally, click Errors Only to view only any errors that may have occurred during processing.

Optionally, click Download Log to download a log .txt file of processing unless you selected Skip Generating Data Log File.

Click the Files sub-tab to download the file output as a result of the process.

Click on the particular file to open and download it.
Renaming a Calculation Instance
Once a calculation is complete, click in the Instance field on the Extend Tax Roll/Tax Bill Data tab to delete or rename the calculation instance.

Click Close to end the task.
Dependencies, Prerequisites, and Setup
Assessment roll and tax roll processing instances must have been created but not posted.
