Navigate: ClosedTax > Distribution > Manual Apportionment > Manual Apportionment by Tax Authority Fund

Description

Manually apportion money already apportioned by a predistribution.

NOTE: To use this feature, either Cashiering or Delinquents must include a miscellaneous type money collection, and the records must have the manual allocation rule assigned them.

SETUP: See Distribution and Manual Apportionment for any applicable prerequisites, dependencies and setup information for this task.

Steps

  1. On the Select Collections to Apportion screen, select the collections you want to manually apportion from the Unapportioned Collections grid.

  2. Click Add in the Agency Apportionment grid. The Select Tax Authority Funds pop-up opens.

    • To search for specific TAFs, enter any known data and click Search, or just click Search to return all available TAFs.

    • Check the checkbox next to the Tax Authorities to select them and click Finish to close the webpage dialog box.

    • Check the checkbox(es) next to the Tax authority in the lower grid and click Remove to remove any from the selected list.

  3. Enter the Amount you want to apportion to each tax authority fund.

NOTE: You must apportion the entire amount available.

    • Click Add in the title bar to add additional agencies.

    • Click Delete to remove them from the grid.

  4. Click Save at the top of the screen. Repeat these steps to apportion more collections.

    • Click Previous to return to the Select a Predistribution screen.

    • Click Close to exit without saving.

Tip

Click Delete in the grid row of the tax authority fund to remove it from the Tax Authority Fund Apportionment list.

Be patient when searching for tax authority funds, as there is no status bar in the Select Tax Authority Funds pop-up window. The more search criteria you enter to narrow your search results, the quicker the search completes.
