Description

Use the Title Search Companies task to create or maintain title companies that are associated with specific tax sales.

Creating a Title Company

  1. On the Search for Title Company screen, click New in the Command Item bar.
  2. On the Maintain Title Company screen, enter the company code and description.
    • Optionally, enter a Contract Number.
  3. In the Contacts panel, click Add (optional).
    • On the Records Search for Legal Party screen, enter your search criteria and click Search.
    • In the Search Results panel, click to select an item in the grid. It is added to the Contacts panel on the Maintain Title Company screen.
  4. Make a selection from the Apply by Delinquent Group Item Number drop-down list.
  5. Make a selection from the Title Search Type drop-down list.
  6. Make a selection from the For Tax Sale: By Type of Advertising drop-down list.
  7. If necessary, select the Allow same-owner items to be assigned to single company checkbox.
  8. In the Class Code panel, select the checkbox for one or more items in the grid.

  9. In the Roll Type panel, select the checkbox for one or more items in the grid.

  10. Click Save.

Maintaining a Title Company

  1. On the Search for Title Company screen, enter your search criteria and click Search.

  2. In the Search Results panel, click to select an item in the grid.
  3. On the Maintain Title Company screen, edit information as needed. See the steps above for more information.
