Payment Terms Distribution Mapping Overview

Description
Use this task to create and maintain mappings between tax authorities and tax authority funds. These mappings are used in payment calculations and distributions.
Steps

On the Set Up Payment Terms Mappings - Distribution screen, click Add in the grid title bar to create a new mapping.

Click Edit in the row of the distribution mapping you want to edit.

On the Manage Payment Terms Mappings - Distribution screen, enter or edit the description, which is used throughout the system to identify the distribution setup.

Make a select from the Tax authority and a TAF (Tax Authority Fund) drop-down lists.

Select the Use mapping for NSF (insufficient funds/bad checks) checkbox, if applicable.

Click Save.

NOTE: Selections in the TAF drop-down list are dependent on the tax authority you select, so make sure to select the tax authority first.
Tips
The two mappings for County General and Unpaid TAF are available by default. Use this screen to change the mapping only if you are going to distribute penalty and/or interest to a different fund. Once a mapping has been made on this screen, the mapping can be selected on the Set Up Payment Terms Rule Details screen.
TAFs are set up and maintained through the Levy Management module. See Tax Funds and Tax Authorities for more information on creating TAFs.
