Taxpayer ACH Information

Navigate: Closed Tax > Accounts Receivable > ACH Processing > Taxpayer ACH Information

Description

Create, edit, and calculate taxpayer ACH installment details.

Steps

  1. On the Search for Taxpayer ACH Information screen, click New.

    OR

    Enter your search criteria and click Search. Matching records are displayed in the Search Results panel.

    OR

  2. Click Edit for an existing item in the grid.

  3. On the Maintain Legal Party ACH Information screen, select the Active checkbox, if necessary.
  4. Select the Disable ACH Export checkbox for this taxpayer, if necessary.

  5. In the Taxpayer Information panel, click Search.

    • On the Records Search for Legal Party screen, enter your search criteria and click Search.

    • On the Records Search Results for Legal Party screen, click to select a legal party. You automatically return to the Maintain Taxpayer ACH Information screen.

  6. In the ACH Account panel, click Select an Account. The button is activated only if the taxpayer's bank account information is already set up and is available to use.

    • Click on the bank to return your choice to the Maintain Taxpayer ACH Information screen.

      OR

      If ACH account information has not been set up for the legal party:
      • Click Maintain Bank Accounts for this legal party.

      • On the Maintain ACH Accounts screen, click Add in the Bank Name panel.

      • Enter the bank name, routing number, account number, and account type that was previously obtained from the taxpayer.

      • Click Apply in the grid, then click Save.

      • Click Close to return to the Maintain Taxpayer ACH Information screen, where the new ACH account information is displayed.

  1. In the Installment Information panel, click Add or click Edit for an existing item in the grid.

    • Select a PIN associated with the legal party. A PIN can be included on only one ACH payment setup; there is a message when you save that tells you if a PIN is ineligible for that reason.

    • Choose an Installment cycle.

    • Select an Installment type from the drop-down list.

    • Click Apply to display the PIN information in the grid.

  1. Click Edit if the installment type is a specific amount. The Installment Amounts panel is displayed. Enter specific payment amounts.

    • Type the installment amount for each installment.

    • Click Apply on the header of the Installment Amounts grid to save the information.

  2. Click Save in the Command Item bar.

    • The system assigns a Taxpayer ACH Plan Number to the PIN. This number is displayed in the Info Center.

    • Click List to return to the Search for Taxpayer ACH Information screen.

    • Click Close to exit.

Dependencies, Prerequisites, and Setup

NOTE: Bank Account Number Encryption is available for bank accounts numbers and is established with a special script. Contact your Aumentum Implementation team for details. When creating a new bank account, and when adding/maintaining a bank account associated a legal party (Common Action - Taxpayer ACH Information > Maintain Legal Party ACH Information), the account number is encrypted upon saving and closing the screen. When re-opening a screen with the bank account number, the number is not shown but an encryption is displayed instead.
