Mass PIN Maintenance

Navigate: ClosedRecords > Revenue Object Maintenance

Description

Use this task for mass PIN maintenance. For example, change the parcel number for a group of parcels all at same time.

Steps

  1. On the Maintain Revenue Objects screen, select U - Mass PIN Maintenance from the Task drop-down list.
    • Make a selection from the Transaction Type drop-down list.
    • Enter or select the legal date and time received.
    • Click Next in the Command Item bar.
  2. On the Select Revenue Objects screen, make a selection from the RevObj List drop-down list in the Add a Revenue Object panel's title bar.
  3. OR

    Enter a PIN and click Add.

    OR

    Click Search to open the Records Search for Revenue Object screen. Search for and select the record(s) and click Return.

    NOTE: Removing the PIN from this list does not remove it from the revenue object list you created using the Create Revenue Object List task. It only removes it from the mass PIN renumbering task.

    • The PINs display in the Selected PINs for Change panel. Continue building your list using any combination of these three methods. Duplicate PINs are ignored and are not repeated in the list, and the message PIN is already in the list is displayed.
    • Click Delete for any PIN to remove it from the list. Click OK on the confirmation pop-up.
    • Click Clear in the Command Item bar to delete the selected PINs for change.
    • Click Next.
  4. On the Renumber PINs screen, the beginning PIN from the list is displayed in the Beginning PIN and Select Mask fields.
    • The effective date is defined on the previous screen and cannot be edited on this screen.
    • Enter a beginning PIN if you want to apply a PIN other than the default.
    • Enter a PIN mask if you want to apply a mask other than the default.
    • Enter a replacement constant if you want to define a character to replace the at symbol (@).
    • In the Original PIN/New PIN panel, click Edit, if necessary.
    • Enter the New PIN and click Update.
    • Click Renumber to renumber all the PINs to the schema defined.
    • Click Reset to reset the PINs to their original numbers.
    • Click Finish to mass apply the PIN renumbering and close the screen.
    • Click Close to end the task.
