Description

A Tax Authority Group (TAG), sometimes called a tax district, is a geographic area shared by a group of tax authorities. Property in a TAG is taxed by the same taxing units and at the same total rate. Set up the identifying information for your tax authority groups. Use the Levy Management module to associate tax authorities with TAGs.

Steps

  1. On the Search for Tax Authority Groups screen, enter your search criteria and click Search.

  2. In the TAG panel, select the checkbox for one or more items in the grid and click Next.

  3. On the Set Up Tax Authority Group screen, enter a code, description and TAG Area (required). Enter other relevant information and click Save.
