Mailing Address Table Update
Description
IMPORTANT: You may want to schedule batch processes during off-peak house since these processes require system resources.
Use the Schedule Mailing Address Table Update task to schedule a batch process to rebuild the mailing MailAddr address table. Schedule this batch process:
-
After you define or change the address search criteria using the Mailing Address Search Set Up task.
-
Before a large mailing.
Various Records tasks result in frequent updates to the MailAddr table, including activate a revenue object (address is added to the table) as well as change a:
-
Revenue object address
-
Legal party address
-
Correspondence type
-
Legal party association
NOTE: Deactivating a revenue object does not remove its address from the MailAddr table because it may have a balance due that requires a tax bill.
IMPORTANT: Always run the Mailing Address Table Update process before a large mailing. It is also recommended that you run the process periodically, because so many tasks update the MailAddr table. The batch job rebuilds the table with the most current address data to ensure it is up to date.
