A valuation method was created for ABOS Marine Blue Book valuation data that is imported into Aumentum. Valuation of watercraft assets is determined in Aumentum by looking up the values in the previously imported ABOS tables. After import, Aumentum Personal Property Appraisal uses vessel characteristics specific to Form BOE-576-D to look up the appraised value in the ABOS tables.
Because the ABOS data resides in different tables based on boat type, seven unique valuation types exist in Aumentum, one per major boat class for the purpose of retrieving the appraised value. Categories include:
-
BT (boat trailers)
-
IO (stern drive boats, including Boat Types)
-
OB (outboard boats, including Boat Types)
-
OM (outboard motors)
-
PH (pontoons/houseboats, including Boat Types)
-
PW (personal watercraft)
-
SB (sailboats).
Any items not processed are indicated with an error in the Confirmation Detail report.
The Maintain Assets screen (Personal Property Appraisal > Assets > Search for/select asset) shows value levels on the Valuation tab. The Components tab shows the details of trailer adjustment, if any.
Setup:
-
Click Personal Property Appraisal > Setup > Value Methods.
- On the Maintain Value Methods screen, click New in the lower half of screen.
