Edit Links

Navigate: ClosedSidebar > Additional Information > Edit Links

Description

You can create and maintain links on this screen, including:

  • Global links to display on every screen.

  • Application (module) links to display on every screen in the module.

  • Task links to display on every screen in the task.

  • Node (screen) links to display for a specific screen.

  • External website links.

IMPORTANT: Security is available for the Additional Information tasks using role permissions. To set this up:

  1. Click Configuration > Security and User Maintenance > Roles.

  2. In the Maintain a Role screen, click Edit on the selected role.

  3. In the Edit Role Details screen, click Non-Menu Items in the Command Item corner.

  4. In the Edit Non-Menu Item Role Details screen.
  5. In the Details panel, click to select SideBarAdditionalInfo and SidebarAttachements to set security rights for the role. Set to True to view and False to hide the icon from the sidebar.

    NOTE: You can also set security for SidebarCorrespondence to control role security for the correspondence icon available from the sidebar on any screen.

CAUTION: If the user account has multiple roles, all roles must be set to false to hide the icon. A logout might be required to apply the role security changes.

Any website links you create are displayed in the Additional Information panel.

The screen title, Application, Task, and Node display for the current Aumentum task you have open.

For example, when you click Records > Legal Party Maintenance , then click Additional Information in the sidebar to display the Additional Information panel:

Click Edit Links from either the Data Service Viewers section or from the External Links section of the panel to open the Maintain External Links screen. The following is displayed:

  • Screen heading – Maintain Legal Party

  • Application links panel – Records, to show the module you are currently in

  • Task links panel – Records:MasterPartyEdit Task, to show the module and task you are currently in

  • Node links panel – Records:MasterPartyEditTask:P to show the module, task, and node you are currently in

Steps

  1. Make a selection from the Link Type drop-down list.

    • External links

    • Data viewer links

  2. In one or more of the panels (Global, Application, Task, or Node), click Add new record, or click Edit on an existing record to maintain it.

  3. Enter or edit the Description, URL, and Order (sequence for display).

  4. Click Insert if adding a new record or Update if updating an existing record. Repeat the previous applicable steps, as needed, for each of the three panels:

    • Application Links

    • Task Links

    • Node Links

  5. Click Delete in any panel row to remove the record.

  6. Click Save.
