Manage Printer
Navigate: Configuration > System > Printer Settings
Description
Map a printer by adding or editing its settings. All existing printer mappings are shown automatically in the table. Once a printer has been mapped, it can be referenced from other modules in the system.
Steps
-
Click Add in the grid title bar. A new row is displayed or click Edit in the grid row of the desired printer. The row fields now accept updates.
-
Enter or edit the Printer name. This is used throughout the system to identify the printer. Provide a unique name to make identification easier.
-
Enter or edit the printer Location. This is the path to the printer on the network. For example, \\countynet4\HPLaserJ.
NOTE: The printer needs to be set up on the server; the system cannot recognize a printer set up on a local computer.
-
Enter or edit the printer Description. This should be a brief sentence that helps you identify the printer in addition to the name. The description could, for example, specify the physical location or main purpose of the printer such as main office lobby or tax bill printer.
- Click Apply to save your changes within the grid or click Cancel to cancel your changes without saving.
-
Click Save to finalize the changes.
- Click Delete in the grid row of a printer you want to delete and click OK in the confirmation message.
- Click Close to end the task.
