Object Scope Maintenance
Navigate: Configuration > Object Scope Maintenance
Description
Use this task to specify which attachment categories should appear in the Add Attachment list for a specific module.
NOTE: This developer tool is used to maintain global reason codes and statutory references within the application and all values and configurations associated with them. For example, a reason code of Bid Not Signed might be available on certain screens in certain modules to prevent a real property tax sale from occurring.
Steps

On the Object Scope Maintenance screen, select Attachment Category from the Category drop-down list.

Make a selection from the Module drop-down list.

In the Available panel, select the checkbox for one or more items in the grid and click the double right arrows. NOTE: Start typing in the Search field to filter the grid.

Use the double left arrows to move selected items from the Assigned panel to the Available panel.

Check the Excluded checkbox to identify the available item as excluded for an item, for example, for a Transfer.

Click Save in the Command Item bar.

Repeat these steps for each module as needed.

Click Close to end the task.
Configuration
To set rights for all attachments:

Click Configuration > Security and User Maintenance > Roles.

On the Maintain a Role screen, click Edit for the role to which you want to edit access and rights to certain attachments.

On the Edit Role Details screen, click Non-Menu Items in the Command Item bar.

On the Edit Non-Menu Item Role Details screen, select Attachments from the Modify security for drop-down list.

In the Rights panel, select the checkbox for View only.

In the Details panel, click Attachments (it will be highlighted in yellow when you click it).

In the Rights panel, click Set Inherited Rights.

Click Save in the Command Item bar.

Click Close to end the task.

To set rights for attachment categories:

In the Rights panel, select the checkbox for each right you want to apply.

In the Details panel, click a category under Attachments (it will be highlighted in yellow when you click it).

In the Rights panel, click Set Inherited Rights.

Click Save in the Command Item bar.

Click Close to end the task.
